KPT Developing Groundbreaking Technology — and Fortune 500 Attention — at WV Regional Technology Park

Keen Process Technologies (KPT), a start-up in CAZ’sChemCeption incubator, has developed several new and potentially disruptive technologies, including one that could make use of shale gas.  Brian Keen, CEO of KPT, has a patent pending to convert natural gas liquids (NGLs) into high octane gasoline using a much simpler and less costly process than is currently used.  Thus far, Brian has been able to prove the concept for an analogous technology using funds from CAZ’s Chemicals and Materials Commercialization Fund, but we are now looking for funds for validation and early-stage process development for the NGL-to-gasoline process.

On that front, we have attracted interest from large corporate partners for this and other technologies KPT is developing, and CAZ is working with Brian to find additional partners and obtain funding from a number of sources.

We thank both the HB Wehrle Foundation and West Virginia American Water for their sponsorship ofChemCeption and our effort to convert research and innovation into jobs and businesses for West Virginia.

If you are interested in partnering with CAZ and supporting our mission to create jobs and opportunities for our kids, grandkids, and all the promising talent in West Virginia, please contact Kevin DiGregorio.
